North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System Fisher House: Fisher House is a "home away from home" for families of patients receiving medical care at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) in Gainesville, Florida. It provides a warm, compassionate environment where families find support and encouragement from others in similar circumstances. JOLA worked with Fisher House and the University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning students to create a Healing Garden for the military and Veteran families staying at the Fisher House.

This site is located on the grounds of the VAMC in Gainesville, Florida. The landscape provides soothing gardens, contemplative water fountains, quiet social gatherings and play areas for children and adults. The Walk of Courage is a memorial brick walkway designed to raise funding for the continued operation of the Fisher House. Construction of the Facility is currently underway.
